CGC: Missions & Outreach
Compassion Missions
Pregnancy Resource Center of Metropolitan Richmond is dedicated to providing compassionate care and practical assistance to women who are unprepared for pregnancy. Community of Grace partners with this local mission through their Baby Bottle Campaign and Walk for Life.
Food Pantry at Community of Grace is an outreach of the Central Virginia Food Bank. Our extension serves the community on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:00. The outreach focuses on providing food, supporting those in need, and provides encouragement to families who are struggling financially in our area.
CCHASM (Chesterfield Colonial Heights Alliance for Social Ministry) is an alliance of faith-based communities within Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights to care for the emergency needs of residents. Community of Grace is a member of this organization and refers individual needs to this center.
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world though gift-filled shoeboxes and the Good News of God's love. This ministry of Samaritan's Pursue allows Community of Grace an opportunity for all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on mission project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas.
Local Missions
Evangelism Training occurs through a study called Way of the Master. This course is designed to equip believers to share their faith simply, effectively and Biblically... the way Jesus did.
Community of Grace believes in the importance of investing in the lives of the next generation. We partner with Chesterfield County Public Schools by providing volunteers who serve as a lunch buddy or mentor and by helping meet the school supply needs of students.
Over 75% of all international students in the United States never enter an American home during their entire stay. This can be a difficult and lonely time as these students adjust to a new culture and new language. Community of Grace volunteers befriend and seek to provide a home away from home for international students at VCU.
Community of Grace partners with Resource Guidance Services, Inc. to provide a place for group counseling to residents of Chesterfield County. These weekly counseling times help many to reclaim effectiveness in their lives.
